The Iraqi Resistance has claimed responsibility for targeting the US occupation forces in the al-Tanf base on the Syrian-Iraqi border and the Conoco gas field northeast of Deir Al-Zawr, as reported by local Syrian media.

In a statement, the Iraqi Resistance announced that it had utilized three drones to target the al-Tanf base on Thursday morning, as reported by the Syrian official news agency, SANA. The Conoco gas field northeast of Deir Al-Zawr was also reportedly targeted by the Iraqi Resistance.

Meanwhile, local Iraqi media outlets reported a series of explosions near Baghdad International Airport, the capital of Iraq, on Friday morning. Iraq's al-Maluma news agency disclosed that the American Victory military base near Baghdad airport was struck by two rockets. The base, situated in the vicinity of the airport, had previously been targeted by rocket and mortar attacks by Iraqi groups who called for the removal of such bases.

On Thursday, the Ain al-Assad American military base was the subject of a drone attack. The US Department of Defense confirmed that one of its soldiers died of an alleged heart attack during the drone attack on the Ain al-Assad base.

These recent attacks coincide with the United States closely cooperating with the Tel Aviv regime in its offensive on besieged Gaza, which has resulted in over 3,500 Gazans being martyred and more than 12,000 wounded.

Resistance groups in the region had previously warned that the Gaza conflict could potentially spill over to new fronts.

On Thursday night, the US military claimed to have thwarted missiles and drones that were purportedly targeting israel from Yemen. (ILKHA)
