UK's Foreign Secretary to visit Türkiye
The Turkish Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that the UK's Foreign Secretary, James Cleverly, is scheduled to visit Turkey on October 20-21.
The ministry's statement revealed that the visit's agenda would include discussions on the latest developments related to the israel-Palestine situation.
The UK's foreign office stated that Cleverly's visit aims to "help prevent the spread of conflict across the region."
Foreign Secretary James Cleverly emphasized the importance of preventing others from getting involved in the ongoing conflict, as it is not in the interest of Israelis, Palestinians, or the broader Middle East.
Cleverly expressed his intent to meet with counterparts from influential states in the region to advocate for calm and stability, facilitate humanitarian access to Gaza, and collaborate on efforts to secure the release of hostages.
