In a statement posted on its social media account, Al-Azhar emphasized the necessity for the Arab and Islamic ummah to reevaluate its trust in the US and Europe.

"The Islamic world must stand in solidarity with Palestine and its oppressed people, who are confronting an enemy that has seemingly lost its conscience, feelings, and emotions," Al-Azhar's statement read.

The university concluded its message with a prayer, saying: "May Allah have mercy on our innocent martyrs.". (ILKHA)
