Abdusselam Irdem commemorated on anniversary of his martyrdom
On the anniversary of his martyrdom, the late Abdusselam Irdem, who was subjected to torture and subsequently killed while in police custody in Diyarbakır in 1993, was commemorated at his gravesite.
The memorial program, organized at the grave located in Apaydın (Heqêç) village in the Hilvan district of Şanlıurfa, paid tribute to Abdusselam Irdem's memory.
Friends of the martyr gathered to pray, marking the occasion with a memorial program facilitated by the Mustazaflar Community. Both men and women participated in the event, offering prayers at the gravesite.
The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, creating a solemn atmosphere. Following this, Mullah Sinan Ünel delivered a speech reflecting on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Abdusselam Irdem.
The commemoration ceremony served as a poignant reminder of the tragic events surrounding Abdusselam Irdem's death, emphasizing the significance of honoring those who have suffered injustice and violence in their pursuit of justice and freedom. (ILKHA)
