Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor voices deep concern over ongoing zionist attacks on Gaza

Euro-Med Monitor, an international rights organization, issued a stark warning in a statement, asserting that "Israel is conducting a wide revenge-driven campaign of annihilation against Gaza’s civilians, through its heavy aerial bombardments on residential neighborhoods and the deprivation of water and basic necessities."

The group strongly condemned the Israeli military's call for civilians in northern Gaza to relocate to the southern parts of the enclave, characterizing it as a practice of forcible transfer that stands in clear violation of international law.

Euro-Med Monitor drew attention to the severe water and food shortages resulting from the ongoing blockade of Gaza, now in effect for seven consecutive days, and the obstruction of humanitarian supplies to the 2.3 million people living in the region.

The dire situation has led to a critical water crisis in Gaza, as zionist authorities ceased pumping water from the Mekorot supply line to the territory from the beginning of the military assault. Power outages and fuel shortages have also rendered desalination plants inoperable, compounding the water scarcity issue.

Euro-Med Monitor further highlighted that israeli attacks have caused significant damage to water wells, exacerbating the water supply crisis in residential areas.

Additionally, Gaza is grappling with a severe shortage of essential food supplies, including staples such as bread, eggs, and vegetables. The distribution of food aid to Gaza's residents by international humanitarian organizations has been hampered by significant difficulties.

The closure of food distribution centers run by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) has left nearly half a million people (112,000 families) without access to their food rations, Euro-Med Monitor reported.

Moreover, the organization pointed out that agricultural land and poultry farms in Gaza have suffered substantial damage due to israeli attacks, making it impossible for farmers to access their land and posing a threat to crop yields.

The situation in Gaza remains a subject of escalating international concern, with calls for immediate action to protect civilian lives and ensure the delivery of crucial humanitarian aid. (ILKHA)
