The rally included a press statement, a march, and expressions of support for the Palestinian resistance.

The demonstration, held following Friday prayers, commenced at Meydan Mosque on Eski Van Street, drawing people from various walks of life.

After the prayer, a funeral prayer was offered for the martyrs in Palestine, followed by a poignant press statement delivered by Kemal Atmaca on behalf of the participating NGOs.

Atmaca addressed the ongoing bombardment of Palestine, condemning the actions of the Zionist occupation regime. He highlighted the dire situation, stating: "Thousands of Palestinians have been martyred as a result of the attacks of the occupation forces for years."

Atmaca also criticized the construction of a wall around Gaza, describing it as a "wall of shame" that has turned the region into the largest open-air prison of the last century.

Drawing attention to the longstanding struggles of Palestinians, Atmaca criticized Israel's illegal blockade and occupation, emphasizing the hardships faced by Palestinians in their own land. He expressed concern about the world's indifference to the Israeli massacres and called for international action.

"It is time to unite with our Palestinian brothers and sisters who defend their rights and lands against israel," Atmaca declared.

He urged the Turkish government, international bodies, and individuals to take action to halt what he deemed "unlawful steps, occupation, and attacks by Israel."

During the subsequent march along Cumhuriyet Street, participants chanted slogans condemning Israel, frequently invoking takbirs.

The event concluded with a prayer for Gaza, underlining the protesters' commitment to the cause and their determination to continue the struggle until Palestine is free.

The demonstration in Ağrı serves as a poignant reflection of the widespread concern and solidarity among the Turkish population regarding the plight of Palestinians, particularly in the face of recent escalations in the Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
