Afghanistan expresses solidarity with Palestine as escalation continues
The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has issued a press release condemning the recent Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement emphasized that the events unfolding in the Gaza Strip are a direct result of israeli aggression and the continuous violation of the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, a holy site for Muslims.
The ministry asserted that the Afghan government views the Palestinian people's defense of their freedom, the independence of their country, and their resistance against occupation as legitimate.
It affirmed support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on its historical lands, recognizing this as a legitimate, historical, and legal right of the Palestinian people in defense of their country's independence.
Calling for international action, the ministry urged Islamic countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the broader international community to address Israeli aggression against innocent Palestinians.
It specifically appealed to nations with significant influence in the region to collaborate in resolving the Palestinian issue by ensuring the Palestinians' legitimate rights are recognized and protected.
The statement reflects the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan's stance on the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. (ILKHA)
