Turkish coast guard rescues 22 irregular migrants push backed by Greek forces
In an incident off the coast of Datça district in Muğla, Turkish Coast Guard teams successfully rescued 22 irregular migrants who had been forcibly pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek forces.
The Coast Guard Command disclosed that the rescue operation was initiated after a fiber boat carrying the irregular migrants was forcefully returned to Turkish waters by Greek elements near Datça.
Following the successful rescue, the 22 irregular migrants were safely brought ashore and subsequently handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management to complete necessary procedures.
