Turkish coast guard rescues 110 migrants pushed back by Greek authorities
Turkish Coast Guard teams have successfully rescued 110 irregular migrants who were forcibly pushed back by Greek forces off the coast of Datça district in Muğla.
In three separate incidents off the coast of Datça, the Coast Guard teams intervened to save 110 irregular migrants who found themselves in rubber boats and life rafts.
These migrants had been pushed back into Turkish territorial waters by Greek coast guard teams, leaving them stranded and at risk in the open sea.
In another incident, an additional 44 individuals attempting to cross illegally by rubber boat were apprehended.
Following the necessary procedures, all irregular migrants rescued and captured were transported to the Ula Repatriation Center.
