The Gaza-based Palestinian resistance launched a major offensive against zionist occupation regime on Saturday morning, marking a substantial and unexpected operation combining fighters crossing the fence into the israeli-occupied territories with a substantial barrage of rockets and drone attacks from the Gaza Strip.

The toll on the israeli side includes 300 fatalities, with the death toll comprising israeli forces and settlers. Additionally, around 1,100 settlers were reported to be injured within the occupied territories.

The zionist military confirmed the death of Col. Jonathan Steinberg, the commanding officer of the Nahal Infantry Brigade, in the Kerem Shalom area near the border with the Gaza Strip.

Hebrew media sources have also indicated that approximately 100 zionist troops were captured in Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. In response, Hamas, the resistance movement in Gaza, contested the number claimed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that the actual number of captives is significantly higher.

Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for Hamas's military wing, al-Qassam Brigades, stated: “Today, you talked about dozens of prisoners, and we reassure you, Netanyahu, that your prisoners are many times more than this number, and you must keep track of your soldiers well."

He added that these captives are spread across various areas in Gaza, emphasizing that everything happening to the Palestinian people in Gaza is happening to the captured zionist forces.

The situation continues to evolve, and international attention is heightened as the conflict intensifies. (ILKHA)
