The OIC called for international protection for the Palestinians and urged the initiation of a serious political process to bring an end to the israeli occupation.

In an official statement, the OIC's General Secretariat highlighted its keen observation of the developments on the ground, expressing alarm over the dangerous escalation of israeli actions in the occupied Palestinian territory.

The OIC attributed the current instability to the ongoing occupation's failure to adhere to international legitimacy resolutions. The statement emphasized that daily attacks and crimes against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities are depriving them of their legitimate rights.

The OIC held the zionist occupation accountable for the escalation and simultaneously called upon the international community, specifically urging the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities in halting the aggression.

The OIC appealed for international protection for the Palestinian people and advocated for the sponsorship of a serious political process to bring an end to the Israeli occupation. The organization stressed the necessity of establishing an independent, sovereign Palestinian state along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This, the OIC believes, will lead to a just and comprehensive peace based on the vision of a two-state solution, aligned with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.
