Turkish Foreign Ministry expresses deep concern over escalating violence in Palestine
Turkish Foreign Ministry voiced its deep concern regarding the recent surge in violence and tension in the zionist entity-Palestine conflict.
The ministry emphasized the urgent need for calm in the region and strongly condemned the tragic loss of civilian lives.
"We attach high importance to the restoration of calm in the region as soon as possible and strongly condemn the loss of civilian lives. We underline that acts of violence and associated escalations will not benefit anyone, and call on the parties to act with restraint and avoid impulsive steps," the ministry stated.
Türkiye, expressing its commitment to facilitating a de-escalation of the conflict, affirmed its readiness to contribute to the best of its ability. The ministry highlighted ongoing intensive contacts with relevant parties in an effort to bring the situation under control before it further escalates and spreads to a wider area.
"These sad developments once again show the importance of the two-state solution vision. We call on the parties to renounce the use of force and work for a lasting solution in line with this vision without further delay," the ministry added.
The statement concluded with Türkiye urging all parties involved to prioritize dialogue and peaceful negotiations, emphasizing “the significance of a two-state solution to address the longstanding issues in the region.”
