Türkiye detains 92 ISIS-linked suspects in nationwide operation
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya revealed that a total of 92 suspects have been detained in a series of operations targeting individuals associated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
In a statement on social media platform X, Yerlikaya disclosed that a coordinated "pincer" operation unfolded simultaneously in 26 provinces across Türkiye.
The nationwide operations were strategically carried out in Aydın, Tekirdağ, Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Bolu, Bursa, Çorum, Diyarbakır, Düzce, Elazığ, Erzurum, Gaziantep, Isparta, İstanbul, İzmir, Kırıkkale, Kilis, Konya, Manisa, Mersin, Ordu, Sakarya, Siirt, Sivas, and Yalova.
Providing details on the successful outcomes of the operations, Minister Yerlikaya confirmed the arrest of 92 suspects believed to have connections with ISIS.
The comprehensive and coordinated nature of the anti-ISIS operations underscores Türkiye's commitment to countering terrorism and ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
