The full list of names has not been disclosed, but it reportedly includes individuals from various sectors, ranging from journalists and academics to military and political figures. The Foreign Ministry, however, highlighted eight Britons who are now prohibited from entering Russia.

Among those singled out is Britain's Chief of the Defense Staff, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, who Moscow accuses of overseeing the training of Ukrainian troops in Britain. Another notable figure on the list is Madeleine Alessandri, the chair of the Joint Intelligence Committee, responsible for coordinating the UK’s top spy agencies. Moscow alleges her involvement in formulating London’s strategy in Ukraine.

Cressida Hogg, the chair of BAE Systems, Britain’s largest defense contractor, also found a place on Moscow’s blacklist. BAE Systems recently established a legal entity in Ukraine to provide direct support to the Ukrainian armed forces.

Russian authorities have stated their intention to further expand the blacklist if London persists in what they describe as a “hostile” sanctions policy.

The United Kingdom had previously imposed asset freezes and travel bans on over 1,600 Russian nationals, accusing them of supporting Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine. (ILKHA)
