Oğraş noted that these observances are not ordinary events and hold spiritual inspiration for believers.

Oğraş began his statement the Basmala, offering praise to Allah and extending greetings to the Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him). He highlighted the unique nature of human birth, especially that of the Prophet Muhammad, who was created by Allah in the best form. Oğraş stressed that every birth is a moment of joy and happiness, but the birth of the Messenger of Allah is especially blessed, signifying hope, salvation, and expectation for all of humanity and all beings.

He underlined that the month of Rabi al-Awwal, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), is approaching, and this occasion should not be taken lightly. Commemorating this blessed birth and understanding the profound significance of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) is a matter of utmost importance, Oğraş added.

Yahya Oğraş

Oğraş quoted verses from the Holy Quran, including "Muhammad... is the Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets" (Surat al-Ahzab, 40) and "We sent you only as a mercy to the worlds" (Surat al-Anbiya, 107), highlighting Prophet Muhammad's role as the seal of the Prophets and a source of mercy for all.

He further emphasized that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had illuminated the path to worldly and eternal happiness and bequeathed it to humanity. Oğraş asserted that the only way for individuals to be true followers of Islam and to attain honor and dignity is to follow the blessed legacy of the last Prophet and walk in his footsteps.

In light of this, Oğraş encouraged believers to approach the upcoming Mawlid al-Nabi (the birthday of the Prophet) with longing and spiritual devotion. He suggested spending the night in mosques, reciting salawats (prayers for blessings upon the Prophet), engaging in worship and prayers, reading poems praising the Prophet at home, engaging in meaningful conversations, and sharing treats with neighbors as important means of deriving spiritual benefits.

Concluding his address, Oğraş acknowledged the challenges faced by the Muslim world, including oppression and natural disasters. He urged believers to pray for the ummah (the global Muslim community) during Mawlid al-Nabi, reflecting on the transient nature of worldly pursuits and striving for the salvation of future generations through both verbal and practical prayers.

In conclusion, Oğraş extended his best wishes for Mawlid al-Nabi Week, which will be observed on the night connecting Tuesday, September 26 to Wednesday. He expressed hope that Mawlid al-Nabi would bring peace, happiness, and blessings to the ummah and all of humanity. (ILKHA)
