Zionist forces kill two Palestinians in West Bank
Two Palestinian young men were killed at dawn Sunday when the zionist occupation forces (ZOF) stormed Nur Shams refugee camp in eastern Tulkarem.
Medical sources identified the slain young men as Usayed Jabawi and Abdul-Rahman Abu Daghash.
Local sources said that a large number of Israeli troops stormed the camp, amid armed clashes with resistance fighters, and used two bulldozers to shave off road asphalt to expose any explosive devices buried underneath.
They added that several ZOF snipers were deployed on rooftops of homes in the camp during the raid.
Resistance fighters reportedly clashed with zionist soldiers and detonated an explosive device at one of the bulldozers, which burst into flames.
The soldier who was driving the bulldozer was injured and evacuated along with the damaged vehicle from the camp.
Palestinian news reports said that the ZOF fired shoulder-launched missiles at the camp’s plaza, without providing further information.
For its part, al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas said that fighters belonging to it and other resistance factions clashed with Israeli soldiers and attacked their vehicles in different areas of the camp.
Al-Qassam Brigades claimed responsibility for damaging the ZOF bulldozer with an explosive device in the camp.
The ZOF reportedly withdrew from the camp in the morning after leaving behind widespread destruction to property and roads. (ILKHA)
