EU High Representative and Turkish FM discuss EU-Türkiye relations and Karabakh
European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a meeting on the sidelines of the 78th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York on Thursday.
The talks revolved around the future of EU-Turkey relations and the evolving situation in Karabakh.
During the meeting, Borrell expressed his satisfaction with the opportunity to engage in a dialogue with Minister Fidan.
He disclosed that their conversation focused on charting the course for EU-Turkey relations, particularly in anticipation of an upcoming report he is set to present jointly with the European Commission to the European Council.
Additionally, Borrell voiced deep concern about the situation in Karabakh, describing it as "highly concerning."
