UNHCR representative visits Herat to oversee humanitarian aid delivery
Sheikh Mawlana Noor Ahmad Islam Jar, the Governor of Herat, held a meeting with representatives from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Afghanistan and Central Asia.
During the meeting, Governor Islam Jar discussed several pressing issues, including the collection of drug addicts, street children, and measures to address climate change.
He appealed to the United Nations for assistance in tackling these crises in Afghanistan.
In response, the UNHCR representative for Central Asia stated that his primary objective for visiting Herat was to oversee the delivery of humanitarian aid of the United Nations.
He assured Governor Islam Jar that he would communicate Herat's needs for humanitarian support to the United Nations. (ILKHA)
