The events unfolded off the coast of Aydın and İzmir, underscoring the ongoing challenges faced by migrants attempting perilous journeys across treacherous waters.

Upon receiving information regarding a group of irregular migrants stranded in life rafts off the Turkish coast, Coast Guard vessels were promptly dispatched to the region. The operation proved successful as all 122 irregular migrants, who had been pushed into Turkish territorial waters by Greek elements, were safely brought ashore.

Furthermore, in a coordinated effort, a total of 119 additional irregular migrants and five suspected migrant smugglers were apprehended off the coast of Urla and Karaburun districts in Izmir province.

Following the operations, the irregular migrants were transferred to the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management for necessary processing and further procedures.
