Türkiye's Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure engages in talks with UAE Minister of Investment
Türkiye's Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, recently conducted a significant telephone conversation with the Minister of Investment of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi.
The conversation, which took place on September 14, 2023, delved into crucial matters related to Türkiye's transportation investments and their implications on global transportation networks.
Both ministers also explored potential avenues for collaboration in the realm of transportation investments and expressed their intent to meet in person in the near future.
Furthermore, it was revealed that Minister Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi is scheduled to visit Türkiye in the coming days to facilitate further discussions on cooperation and investments.
Türkiye, owing to its strategic geographical location bridging continents and regions, actively supports various initiatives aimed at bolstering regional transportation corridors. In alignment with this objective, Türkiye seeks to not only strengthen commercial, economic, and investment ties but also foster political and cultural relations within its regional sphere of influence and beyond.
A prominent focal point of Türkiye's efforts in this regard is the ambitious Caspian Transit East-West Middle Corridor, more commonly referred to as the Middle Corridor. Originating in Türkiye, this corridor traverses the Caucasus region, crosses the Caspian Sea, connecting Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, and ultimately extending into Central Asia and the People's Republic of China. This colossal project represents a modern-day revitalization of the historic Silk Road and holds immense potential for trade and connectivity across multiple nations and regions.
As this high-level exchange between Türkiye and the UAE unfolds, the world watches with keen interest, anticipating the future developments and collaborations that may arise from this crucial diplomatic dialogue. (ILKHA)
