The operation spanned Ankara, Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, and Gaziantep, reflecting a concerted effort by Turkish authorities to combat the influence of the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETO).

The detainees were arrested on the grounds of their alleged use of ByLock, a communication app widely utilized by FETO members. One additional suspect remains at large, with ongoing efforts to locate and apprehend them.

In the coming days, the apprehended suspects will be presented before a judge to determine the next course of action in their legal proceedings.

FETO, under the leadership of Fetullah Gulen, who currently resides in self-imposed exile in the United States, is held responsible for the July 2016 coup attempt in Turkey.

Since that fateful event, the Turkish government has been steadfastly cracking down on FETO activities, resulting in the arrest or detention of thousands of its members.

Furthermore, as part of these measures, the government has seized assets belonging to the FETO organization.

This latest operation serves as a clear message from the Turkish government that it remains resolute in its determination to prevent any activity associated with FETO within its borders. (ILKHA)
