Edip Gümüş, the leader of Hizbullah Jama'ah, has issued a heartfelt message of condolence following the news of the passing of esteemed Islamic scholar Mullah Mustafa Durgun, who passed away on Monday.
The full text of Gümüş's message is as follows:
"بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (Verily we belong to Allah, and verily to Him we shall return).
We have received the news of the death of venerable Islamic Scholar, Molla Mustafa Durgun. May Allah treat him with His mercy, make his tomb a part of the gardens of paradise, and welcome him to His heavens. May He unite us with all our brothers and sisters in His presence in His heavens.
During the last years of his illness, I wanted to be with him and benefit from his knowledge and wisdom, but our Lord had ordained separation after the time we spent in prison.
We met Mullah Mustafa in 1982 and spent years together in Islamic activities as well as a period of imprisonment and dungeon together. Alhamdulillah, he was pleased with us and we were pleased with him. May Allah accept what we have done for His pleasure.
Mullah Mustafa surrendered his soul to his Lord. But the Islamic cause he left behind is still alive. Like Mullah Mustafa and our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and sisters who passed away before him, we will continue to fulfill our responsibilities until our last breath, Inshallah. As brothers and sisters, we will read Islam, understand it, live it, and at the same time try to make it readable and liveable. We will be instrumental in making people read, understand and live Islam, Inshallah.
Once again, I wish our Lord to have mercy on esteemed Islamic scholar Mullah Mustafa and bring us together with all our brothers and sisters in His Paradise.
Your brother, Edip Gümüş"
In the message, Gümüş acknowledged Mullah Mustafa Durgun's contributions to the Islamic community and his lasting legacy. He expressed his wish that the scholar's soul would find eternal peace in the embrace of Allah and that his final resting place would be in the Gardens of Paradise.
In addition, Gümüş recalled their long association since 1982, which included years of joint Islamic activities and a common period of imprisonment. He emphasized their mutual satisfaction with each other and prayed that their efforts would be accepted in the name of Allah.
Although Mullah Mustafa has passed away, Gümüş assured that the cause they championed remains alive and thriving. He pledged to continue their mission of promoting and living Islam and urged others to do the same. Gümüş concluded with a heartfelt wish for Allah's mercy upon Mullah Mustafa and the hope of a reunion with their departed loved ones in Allah's Paradise. (ILKHA)
