Erdoğan meets with Scholz in New Delhi
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the sidelines of the G20 Leaders Summit in New Delhi on Saturday.
The two leaders discussed Türkiye-Germany bilateral relations, the re-operation of the Turkey-EU dialog mechanism, the Russia-Ukraine war, and regional and global issues.
Erdoğan conveyed his get well wishes to Scholz for his recent accident and stated that in order to increase the trade volume of 45 billion dollars between the two countries, which reached 45 billion dollars in 2022, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation in areas such as energy supply, renewable energy, innovation and technology transfers.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Head of the National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın and Presidential Advisor on Foreign Policy and Security Akif Çağatay Kılıç were also present at the meeting.
Erdoğan also held a meeting with World Bank President Ajay Banga within the scope of his contacts. (ILKHA)
