Russian forces kill 16 in missile attack on market in Ukraine
Russian forces launched a deadly attack on the city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast today, resulting in the loss of at least 16 lives, including that of a child, according to official reports from Ukrainian authorities.
The Emergency Service of Ukraine has confirmed that the attack has left at least 28 others injured, and emergency response teams are currently at the scene working diligently to contain fires ignited by the assault.
The strike, as reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky, specifically targeted a local market, encompassing several shops and a pharmacy. Kostiantynivka, situated on the front lines, has unfortunately become a frequent target of Russian forces.
President Zelensky expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims, condemning the act as "Russian evil" that must be defeated urgently.
