Shoigu made these remarks during a meeting with military leadership, shedding light on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

"The Russian armed forces continue to operate actively along the entire dividing line. The Kyiv regime, despite suffering significant losses, is currently in its third month of what they refer to as a counteroffensive," Minister Shoigu disclosed.

He added, "The armed forces of Ukraine have not been successful in reaching their goals in any operational area."

Shoigu further suggested that Ukrainian leadership is making desperate attempts to showcase some level of success in their offensive operations, primarily to secure continued military and economic support from Western allies, which, in his view, is prolonging the conflict.

According to the Defense Minister, since the commencement of the counteroffensive, Ukrainian forces have incurred substantial casualties, with 66,000 soldiers and 7,600 pieces of military equipment lost.

"The Armed Forces of Russia continue to target and eliminate Ukraine's military infrastructure with pinpoint precision. In the past month alone, we have struck 34 command posts of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the operational-tactical level of command and control," Shoigu reported.

Minister Sergei Shoigu's remarks provide insights into the ongoing situation in the Ukraine conflict, where the Ukrainian military's counteroffensive efforts have faced significant challenges, resulting in substantial losses and a protracted conflict. (ILKHA)
