At least 7 dead, 2 missing in devastating floods in Algeria
Heavy rain in Algeria has killed seven people and left two others missing, according to authorities.
The rain caused flooding in several parts of the country, including the capital, Algiers. Rescue operations are underway to find the missing people.
The meteorological agency has warned of further rain and thunderstorms in western Algeria, with rainfall levels expected to reach more than 40 mm.
