Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan commends World Bank's recent economic report
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has officially praised a recent report by the World Bank, hailing it as an objective assessment of the country's economic situation.
According to a statement released today by the Deputy Prime Minister's Office, the report, published on August 31, 2023, has highlighted significant economic progress within Afghanistan.
The World Bank's report outlined several key improvements in Afghanistan's economy, including a noteworthy reduction in inflation, increased food production, a strengthened Afghani currency, enhancements in the banking system, and increased support for commercial enterprises, resulting in more opportunities within the nation.
In addition to these achievements, the report indicated that both exports and imports have seen a rise, leading to an overall increase in national revenues. Notably, government employees have received their salaries promptly, and improved quality services have been made available to the Afghan people.
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has expressed its appreciation for the positive findings and has called upon the World Bank to recommence work on projects that were left incomplete in Afghanistan, signaling a commitment to further economic development and stability in the region. (ILKHA)
