According to the data released today, the Turkish economy exhibited a robust expansion of 3.8 percent in the second quarter of 2023 in comparison to the same period the previous year. Additionally, when adjusting for seasonal fluctuations, the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth stood at a commendable 3.5 percent when compared to the preceding quarter.

Şimşek enthusiastically welcomed these growth figures, highlighting the nation's remarkable achievement despite facing challenging global financial conditions and a contraction in worldwide trade. He underscored that the Turkish economy continued to exhibit formidable growth during the second quarter, even as the country worked diligently to offset the economic repercussions stemming from a recent earthquake disaster.

"We remain committed to implementing a series of targeted measures that aim to restore a harmonious equilibrium between domestic and foreign demand," Şimşek affirmed in a released statement. He further elaborated that these policies are intentionally transparent, consistent, and aligned with established international standards, fostering an environment of increased predictability for economic stakeholders.

Şimşek also emphasized the discernible positive impact of the implemented policies on macro-financial stability. He expressed confidence that the ongoing beneficial effects of these measures would endure over time. "We are resolute in our commitment to taking all necessary steps to ensure the lasting sustainability of these positive outcomes," Şimşek asserted.

These promising growth figures signal a testament to the Turkish economy's resilience and its unwavering trajectory in the face of global challenges. With steadfast policies and a commitment to stability, Türkiye is carving out a path of consistent economic advancement. (ILKHA)
