Hope Caravan Foundation provides food aid to earthquake-affected families in Malatya
In the wake of the devastating earthquake that struck southern Türkiye on February 6, the Hope Caravan Foundation (Umut Kervanı Vakfı) has continued its unwavering relief efforts, extending a helping hand to affected families.
The foundation recently delivered 500 much-needed food parcels, a collaborative effort made possible through the support of international organizations.
The Hope Caravan Foundation, renowned for its dedication to providing aid both domestically and internationally, has been actively engaged in relief activities throughout Turkey. In particular, their efforts have been focused on provinces heavily impacted by the earthquake.
Among the organizations partnering with the Hope Caravan Foundation is the Free Ummah Association, which operates in Egypt. Together with the Jamaat al-Islamiyya organization in Kuwait, the Free Ummah Association sent 500 food parcels destined for earthquake-stricken families in the Malatya province.
The foundation meticulously packaged the aid donations received from these organizations and promptly distributed them to families affected by the earthquake. Many of these families have been residing in temporary shelters such as containers and tent cities since the disaster struck.
Speaking to the Ilke News Agency (ILKHA) about the ongoing charitable activities in the region, Bahçet Sevgili, the coordinator of the Hope Caravan Foundation in Malatya, expressed their commitment, saying, "With the permission of Allah, we will distribute the 500 food aid packages donated by the Free Ummah Association to our brothers and sisters in need among the earthquake victims in Malatya."
Eymen Hamis, Vice President of the Free Ummah Association, shared their purpose in visiting Malatya, stating, "We implore our Lord to swiftly alleviate this calamity and to unite us in goodness perpetually. Our partners at the Shafaq Damascus Association are also actively supporting us in this endeavor. Furthermore, the Kuwaiti Ayat Charity Association, with a history of recurrent and forthcoming assistance, will continue to provide aid of this nature."
As the Hope Caravan Foundation persists in its relief efforts, it remains a beacon of hope for the earthquake-affected families in Malatya. Their dedication to aiding those in need demonstrates the power of collaboration between local and international organizations during times of crisis. (ILKHA)
