Turkish Vice President condemns arson attack on mosque in Greek Cyprus
Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has condemned the arson attack on the Köprülü Hacı İbrahim Ağa Mosque in the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus (GASC).
In a statement made on social media, Yılmaz said that the attack was a "heinous act" and that it targeted social peace, peace and common human values.
He called on all segments of society, regardless of language, religion, race and sect, to react to the attack and to work to stop the rise of Islamophobia.
Yılmaz said that the fight against Islamophobia is not only a matter of Muslims but of all humanity. He urged individuals and societies belonging to different religions and cultures to live in tolerance with each other.
He also called for the perpetrators of the attack to be caught and brought to justice. (ILKHA)
