During his diplomatic mission, Amir-Abdollahian is set to engage in crucial discussions with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, alongside other prominent officials from the Kingdom.

The agenda includes talks on bilateral matters, issues pertinent to the Muslim world, and pressing global concerns.

The groundbreaking diplomatic initiative emerged in March when both Iran and Saudi Arabia agreed to mend their strained relations following an intense series of negotiations facilitated by Beijing.

The accord paved the way for the resumption of diplomatic ties and prompted the appointment of new ambassadors to their respective capitals.

Adding to the significance of the visit, Iran's newly designated ambassador to Riyadh, Alireza Enayati, is poised to officially commence his diplomatic responsibilities during Amir-Abdollahian's stay in the Kingdom.

In a statement released on Monday, the Iranian foreign minister revealed that the reciprocal step is soon to take place, with Saudi Arabia's ambassador to Tehran expected to begin his mission shortly.

This momentous visit holds the promise of not only strengthening bilateral relations but also fostering regional stability and enhancing cooperation between these two pivotal Muslim-majority nations.

Observers worldwide are watching closely as Amir-Abdollahian's visit unfolds against the backdrop of renewed optimism for Middle East diplomacy. (ILKHA)
