Afghanistan and Türkiye discuss ways to boost economic cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, and Minister of Trade of Türkiye, Omer Bolat, held a productive session during Baradar Akhund's official visit to Türkiye.
The two dignitaries discussed a wide range of topics, including trade, investment, regional connectivity, and the advancement of economic collaboration between the two nations.
Baradar Akhund underscored the enduring and historical bond shared between Afghanistan and Turkey, and emphasized the current pivotal moment as an opportunity to further strengthen these ties. He also proposed the establishment of a collaborative chamber of commerce and emphasized the importance of increased Turkish investment in Afghanistan.
In response, Bolat provided reassurances to Baradar Akhund, expressing Türkiye's commitment to expanding bilateral trade and facilitating investments from Turkish sources into Afghanistan. He also affirmed the dedication of all relevant agencies to diligently collaborate toward achieving these shared economic objectives.
