Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MİT) has carried out a strategic operation targeting ISIS members who were in the process of preparing for a potentially devastating attack within the confines of the Operation Peace Spring area in northern Syria.

In this meticulously executed operation, MİT successfully apprehended three ISIS members who were poised to carry out their attack plans. The operation yielded a substantial cache of weaponry and equipment belonging to the extremist group.

The seized items include a significant array of armaments: one LAV (light armored vehicle) weapon, an RPG (rocket-propelled grenade) launcher, two motorcycles, five AK-47 infantry rifles, five hand grenades, two Makarov pistols, four anti-tank RPG ammunition, two anti-personnel RPG ammunition, five RPG propellant cartridges, along with numerous magazines, a radio, and a substantial quantity of ammunition.

The operation, which resulted in the apprehension of the ISIS members and the confiscation of their arsenal, underscores the continued efforts of Turkish authorities to ensure regional security and thwart potential threats emanating from terrorist groups. (ILKHA)
