Türkiye's poultry production declines in June

According to the report, chicken meat production for the current period stood at 176,179 tons, while hen egg production reached a total of 1.58 billion units.

In a month-on-month comparison for June, the statistics showcased a 3.7% rise in hen egg production, indicating a positive trend. However, chicken meat production experienced a notable decline of 19.7%, accompanied by a 22.3% reduction in the number of slaughtered chickens. Furthermore, turkey meat production witnessed a significant downturn of 30.2% in comparison to the same period the previous year.

For the cumulative period from January to June, hen egg production demonstrated a growth of 3.7%. On the other hand, chicken meat production faced a decline of 5.5%, while turkey meat production decreased by 8.2%. Additionally, the number of slaughtered chickens showed an 8.8% drop when compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

June's performance also revealed a drop in production compared to the previous month. Chicken meat production witnessed a decrease of 16.1%, falling from 210,014 tons to 176,179 tons. Hen egg production also experienced a decline of 3.6% from the previous month, with a decrease from 1,644,067,000 units to 1,584,895,000 units.

These fluctuations within the Turkish poultry industry have garnered attention, sparking discussions about potential factors influencing the market dynamics.
