Yalçın conveyed the profound sorrow that enveloped them upon Yavuz's passing, underscoring the rarity of individuals like him.

Mehmet Yavuz, who had left an indelible mark with his political endeavors in HÜDA PAR, passed away on August 9, 2019, while undergoing cancer treatment at a Diyarbakır hospital. As the fourth anniversary of his departure approached, he was remembered with reverence and gratitude.

Yavuz's entry onto the political stage had brought a fresh perspective, accompanied by his distinct personality. Beyond his political contributions, he was hailed for his exceptional grasp of Islamic studies, political insight, and diplomatic finesse. Lokman Yalçın, a member of HUDA PAR's General Administrative Board, elaborated on Yavuz's character, describing him as an epitome of virtue, and noted the rarity of individuals like Yavuz.

"He extended his love not only to Muslims but to all of humanity," Yalçın highlighted. Narrating his interactions with Yavuz, Yalçın recounted: "Our bond with Mehmet Yavuz was formed through friendship from the moment we first met. His positivity was infectious, and our connection grew stronger as we traversed the party's journey together. From 2010 until his passing, our communication remained unwavering, sharing our moments day and night, embarking on numerous journeys. May Allah bestow His mercy upon Mehmet Yavuz. In Şanlıurfa, his influence was felt not just by me, but all of our comrades. He was a fountain of ideas, consistently refining himself. His love transcended religious boundaries, encompassing all of humanity. He harbored a genuine fondness for people. His conversations exuded this affection, emitting a positive energy that resonated with others."

Yalçın went on to reveal anecdotes from Yavuz's remarkable persona, stating: "During a visit to Antalya, he happened upon a local shopkeeper. A spontaneous 10-minute conversation left an indelible mark on the shopkeeper. Upon learning of Yavuz's passing, the shopkeeper journeyed from Antalya to Kâhta, accompanied by his family, to pay his respects. This act spoke volumes of Yavuz's sincerity and deep-rooted love for humanity."

Yalçın delved further into Yavuz's responsibilities, stating: "Mehmet Yavuz's trials were arduous, bearing the weight of honor, recognition, and authority. When confronted with difficulties or negativity in the tasks entrusted to a colleague, his presence would serve as an immediate intervention. His approach was solutions-driven, with a strong emphasis on consultation. He led through collaboration, ensuring his actions were guided by collective wisdom. Mehmet Yavuz bore a significant responsibility, fully aware of its magnitude. The trial of acclaim, recognition, and authority is one of the most formidable. During private moments, I would inquire, 'Hodja, you appear on television, your reputation spans the nation, your eloquence captivates audiences. How do you handle the constant adulation, both in person and through social media?' He responded, 'Such acclaim has the potential to derail one's sense of self.' However, he was well-equipped to handle it. He had instituted a spiritual routine for himself, never missing the dawn prayers, engaging in dhikr (remembrance of God), and consistently reading the Qur'an."

Yalçın further emphasized Yavuz's significance, expressing: "I am certain that Mehmet Yavuz is counted among the ranks of the martyrs. Even in moments of frustration, his anger was tempered with wisdom. His agitation was often borne out of passionate engagement in his work. Even when expressing dissatisfaction, he did so with lessons and sagacity. His impact was monumental. The loss of Mehmet Yılmaz reverberates not only through our ranks but throughout the entire ummah."

Yalçın brought attention to the physical toll Yavuz endured, revealing: "Mehmet Yavuz lost his kidneys due to the severe maltreatment he endured at the hands of FETO-affiliated police officers during his time in prison. His kidneys deteriorated in the interrogation room. Although he was already afflicted with an ailment, the severity of the situation eluded both him and us. We have no doubt that he walks amongst the blessed martyrs, as his life mirrored that of a martyr. The enduring prayers, good deeds, and continued resonance of his speeches in seminars and online videos signify the enduring impact of his legacy. This honor is bestowed upon only the righteous and the martyrs."

Yalçın concluded with a reflection on Yavuz's dedication, remarking: "He used to spend merely 1-2 days a month at home; the rest of the time he was out, actively engaging in his responsibilities. Individuals like Mehmet Yavuz are indeed rare gems. His influence on society was deeply entwined with the values instilled in him from his upbringing and his character. His commitment to the cause was unwavering, working tirelessly day and night. To illustrate, when his youngest daughter was born in Şanlıurfa, he was away on a program. He managed to arrive two days after her birth upon a call from our brethren in Şanlıurfa. He discharged the newborn from the hospital and cared for her for two days before embarking on a 20-day absence. He exemplified sacrifice, resolve, and an unwavering dedication. The magnitude of Mehmet Yavuz's accomplishments since 2010 far surpasses the ordinary individual's lifetime achievements." (ILKHA)
