At least 24 people were killed and 12 others injured in a bus crash in Morocco on Sunday.
The accident occurred in the Azilal province when a minibus carrying passengers en route to the weekly market in the small town of Demnate overturned at a curve, according to local reports.
Local authorities, along with the Royal Gendarmerie and Civil Protection, swiftly mobilized to the crash site to initiate rescue operations and assist the injured. The injured passengers were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but authorities believe that it may have been due to speeding or driver error.
