President Erdoğan expressed his gratitude for the invitation extended by Prime Minister Ibrahim and confirmed his intention to visit Malaysia at the earliest opportunity.

During the call, both leaders highlighted the progress made in the Türkiye-Malaysia relationship, which has been elevated to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Erdoğan welcomed Malaysia's approval for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to establish a trade office in the country.

The two leaders also emphasized the significance of their cooperation in the defense industry, which has been a driving force in their relationship. Erdoğan expressed the desire to finalize a memorandum of understanding to address Malaysia's defense needs promptly.

Another important topic of discussion was the need for a united front against attacks on the Holy Quran. Erdoğan stressed the importance of the resolutions adopted at the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in addressing this issue.

Moreover, Erdoğan called for the designation of FETO (Fethullah Terrorist Organization) as a terrorist organization in Malaysia, urging strong support from Prime Minister Ibrahim on this matter.

The videoconference between President Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ibrahim further solidified the already strong Türkiye-Malaysia ties, and both leaders expressed their commitment to enhancing cooperation across various sectors in the future. (ILKHA)
