HÜDA PAR Chairman denounces attacks on the Quran, calls for strong political reactions
Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, the Chairman of HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party), participated in the Respect for the Qur'an Rally organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation at Station Square in Diyarbakır.
Speaking to ILKHA after the rally, Yapıcıoğlı strongly condemned the recent attacks on the Holy Qur'an and expressed that such disrespect is not only directed towards the Quran but also against all Muslims and the Islamic world.
Yapıcıoğlu emphasized the significance of the Qur'an as the word of Allah and how it holds deep reverence in the lives of Muslims. He highlighted that previous attempts to attack Islam and its holy figures in Europe had already caused distress, and now, the attacks on the Quran had further intensified this concern for the entire Muslim community.
"The Qur'an is the word of Allah and will be preserved until the Day of Judgement. People who adhere to the Qur'an and apply it to their lives will always be the precious ones with Allah's permission. They want to harm the sanctity of the Qur'an with their actions against it, but the reactions of Muslims worldwide show that their intentions will lead to disappointment," stated Yapıcıoğlu.
Asserting that the disrespect shown to the Quran should not be tolerated, he urged Islamic countries to respond with stronger political actions. Yapıcıoğlu cited the example of the Iraqi government, which expelled Swedish diplomats and recalled its chargé d'affaires in response to the recent incident. He urged other Islamic nations to take similar measures and collectively express their outrage against such acts.
Furthermore, Yapıcıoğlu called for the urgent criminalization of any outrageous acts against the holy scriptures of all Abrahamic religions. He emphasized the need for severe punishments for those who commit such offenses to prevent the spread of provocations and maintain peace and harmony among people of different faiths.
The rally in Diyarbakır served as a platform for Muslims to stand united against the disrespect shown to the Quran, and Yapıcıoğlu's words resonated with the attendees, who voiced their unwavering support for protecting the sanctity of their holy book. (ILKHA)
