Erdoğan receives South Korean FM Park Jin
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin met in Istanbul on Friday to discuss bilateral cooperation.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 16th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF).
During their meeting, Erdoğan expressed his desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, including politics, energy, defense industry, economy, and trade, stressing the importance of increasing efforts to achieve the target of $15 billion in bilateral trade volume.
Erdoğan also conveyed his gratitude for the solidarity displayed by Seoul following the earthquakes that struck southtern Türkiye on February 6th. He also extended well wishes for a speedy recovery after the flood and landslide disasters in South Korea.
For his part, Foreign Minister Park Jin said that South Korea is committed to further strengthening its relations with Türkiye. He expressed his hope that the two countries can work together to address common challenges, such as regional security and economic cooperation. (ILKHA)
