Saudi F-15SA fighter jet crashes during training exercise, killing 2 crew members
A Saudi Arabian F-15SA fighter jet crashed during a routine training exercise in the southern Asir region on Wednesday, killing two crew members on board.
The crash occurred at the training area of King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait around 2:28 pm. The two crew members who were killed have not been identified.
Brig. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, said that an immediate investigation into the cause of the crash has been launched.
"May God have mercy on them, I ask the God Almighty to accept them as righteous martyrs and to grant their families and relatives patience and solace," Al-Maliki said in a statement.
An investigation committee has already started examining the circumstances that led to the accident. Further details and findings from the investigation are expected to be released in due course. (ILKHA)
