China's new Foreign Minister to visit Türkiye in high-level diplomacy

The visit holds significance as it marks the highest-level engagement between a Chinese official and Türkiye since 2021.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry confirmed the trip, stating that Wang Yi, who is also a Member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the CPC Central Committee, will arrive in Türkiye on 26 July 2023.

During his visit, discussions will encompass various aspects of bilateral relations and address current regional and global developments. The meetings between Wang Yi and Türkiye's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, are expected to delve into crucial issues impacting both nations.

Among the key highlights of the visit, Wang Yi is also slated to meet with Türkiye's President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, further underscoring the importance of the diplomatic exchange.
