The missile launches coincide with the approaching 70th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War armistice and a potential military parade on Thursday.

As reported by the Defense Ministry in Tokyo, the two missiles landed in the Sea of Japan, outside Japan's exclusive economic zone, which extends 200 nautical miles (370 kilometers) from its coast. The missiles traveled distances of 350 km and 400 km, reaching a maximum altitude of 100 km.

South Korea's military also confirmed the missile firings and provided similar details, stating that both missiles had flown approximately 400 km.

The launch of these ballistic missiles has heightened tensions in the region, and neighboring countries are closely monitoring the situation. North Korea's actions have drawn international concern and are likely to be a subject of discussion among world leaders and security agencies.

The timing of these missile launches, ahead of a potential military parade, adds to the significance of the situation and raises questions about North Korea's intentions. Diplomatic efforts will be closely watched in the coming days as countries assess the implications of these actions and seek to address regional security concerns. (ILKHA)
