In a shocking and violent incident, the Provincial Secretary of HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) in Adana, Sacit Pişgin, was martyred, and Provincial Chairman Salih Demir was injured during a ruthless machete attack at the HÜDA PAR Provincial Building.

The attack took place on Saturday around 17:40 in Türkiye's southern province of Adana. According to reports, two assailants entered the party's building and launched a brutal assault while Salih Demir and Sacit Pişgin were in prayer.

As a result of the attack, Sacit Pişgin sustained critical injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries and became a martyr. On the other hand, Salih Demir is currently undergoing medical treatment at the hospital, and authorities confirm that there is no immediate threat to his life.

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç promptly responded to the distressing incident and expressed his strong condemnation. In a post on Twitter, he stated: "I strongly condemn the attack on HÜDA PAR Adana Provincial Chairman Salih Demir and Provincial Secretary Sacit Pişgin at the Provincial Building. I pray for Allah's mercy upon Sacit Pişgin, who lost his life in the attack, and I wish a speedy recovery for Salih Demir, who is still undergoing treatment."

In his statement, Minister Tunç also assured that the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated the necessary judicial investigation into the attack. One individual has been taken into custody in connection with the incident. The investigation is ongoing to shed light on all aspects of this heinous attack.
