Turkish road motor vehicle registrations increase in June

This represents a 77.2% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.

Regarding the vehicle registrations in June, motorcycles accounted for 46.1%, followed by cars 39.1%, small trucks 8.4%, tractors 4.1%, trucks 1.6%, minibuses 0.3%, buses 0.3% and special purpose vehicles 0.1%.

The number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 13.4% compared to the previous month

In June, compared to the previous month, the number of road motor vehicle registrations decreased by 28.6% for trucks, 27.2% for special purpose vehicles, 25.9% for minibuses, 19.1% for tractors, 15.8% for small trucks, 12.9% for cars, 11.9% for motorcycles and 9.0% for buses.

The number of road motor vehicles registered increased by 77.2% compared to the same month of the previous year

In June, compared to the same month of the previous year, the number of road motor vehicle registrations increased by 95.8% for motorcycles, 79.3% for special purpose vehicles, 75.9% for small trucks, 74.7% for cars, 57.1% for minibuses, 16.6% for buses, 10.0% for tractors and 7.0% for trucks.

At the end of June, the total number of road motor vehicles registered reached 27 million 525 thousand 301

At the end of June, cars represented 53.4%, motorcycles 16.6%, small trucks 15.9%, tractors 7.8%, trucks 3.4%, minibuses 1.8%, buses 0.8% and special purpose vehicles 0.3% of total number of road motor vehicles registered.

892 thousand 197 road motor vehicles were handed over in June

Among vehicles handed over(1) in June, cars accounted for 65.4% followed by small trucks 15.3%, motorcycles 13.0%, tractors 2.4%, trucks 1.8%, minibuses 1.5%, buses 0.4% and special purpose vehicles 0.2%.

In June, 75 thousand 624 cars were registered

In terms of the distribution of trademarks for the new registered cars in June, Fiat recorded 14.7%, Renault 11.7%, Opel 9.0%, Volkswagen 7.3%, Peugeot 6.1%, Citroen 6.0%, Chery 5.2%, Toyota 5.1%, Hyundai 4.7%, Mercedes-Benz 3.5%, Ford 3.2%, Skoda 3.0%, Dacia 2.7%, Kia 2.3%, Audi 2.1%, Honda 2.0%, BMW 1.4%, 1.3% Cupra, Volvo 1.1 %,   Seat 1.0% and the other trademarks 6.4% of the total.        

In the period of January-June 1 million 57 thousand 643 road motor vehicles were registered

In January-June period, compared to the same period of previous year, the number of registered vehicles increased by 81.9% and became 1 million 57 thousand 643, while the number of withdrawn road motor vehicles decreased by 23.4% and became 14 thousand 753. Hence, in January-June period the increase in motor vehicles registered became 1 million 42 thousand 890. 

In the period of January-June the ratio of cars registered using gasoline was 67.2%

Among 434 thousand 818 cars registered in January-June period, the share of gasoline-fuelled cars was 67.2% followed by diesel-fuelled cars with 19.6%, hybrid cars with 8.6%, electric cars with 3.0% and LPG-fuelled cars with 1.6%. At the end of June, among 14 million 706 thousand 162 registered cars, the share of diesel-fuelled cars was 36.4% followed by LPG-fuelled cars with 34.3% and gasoline-fuelled cars with 27.8%. The share of hybrid cars was 1.2% and electric cars was 0.2%. The cars with unknown fuel type was 0.2%.

Most frequent engine size was 1300 or less for registered cars in January-June period

Within 434 thousand 818 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 35.7% had 1300 or less, 24.2% had 1401-1500, 20.6% had 1301-1400, 9.4% had 1501-1600, 6.4% had 1601-2000, 0.7% had 2001 and above engine size.

In January-June period 144 thousand 175 of cars registered were grey

Within 434 thousand 818 cars registered to traffic in January-June period, 33.2% of them were grey, 30.5% were white, 12.2% were blue, 9.9% were black, 7.4% were red, 2.9% were green, 2.5% were orange, 0.6% were brown and 0.6% were yellow.
