Plane crash in Poland kills 5, injures 8
A small plane crashed into a hangar near Warsaw, Poland on Monday, killing five people and injuring eight others.
The accident took place in the village of Chrcynno, approximately 47 kilometers from Warsaw.
The aircraft involved was a Cessna 208-type plane. Prompt emergency response was initiated, with four helicopters and 10 ambulances dispatched to the crash site.
Authorities confirmed that five fatalities occurred, with three individuals on board the plane and two individuals within the hangar.
Additionally, eight individuals in the hangar sustained injuries. Prior to the accident, it was reported that 13 people had sought shelter inside the hangar to avoid adverse weather conditions.
Authorities indicated that the likely cause of the crash was attributed to the challenging weather conditions.
