Islamic Emirate rejects UNAMA report, calls it 'far from the truth'
The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has rejected a report by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) that criticized the group's human rights record.
In a statement on Monday, the spokesman of Islamic Emirate, Zabiullah Mujahid, said the report was "far from the truth" and was based on "false information."
Mujahid said that security is maintained in Afghanistan, there are no arbitrary killings or arrests, and attacks on religious minorities have been prevented. He also said that the courts of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan defend and protect the legitimate rights of their people.
"In such a positive situation, spreading negative reports means malice, which should be stopped," Mujahid said. (ILKHA)
