During the conference, Erdoğan reaffirmed Türkiye's dedication to establishing a belt of peace, stability, and prosperity around the nation.

Erdoğan emphasized the recent strides made in relations with Gulf countries, underlining the substantial support received after a devastating earthquake struck Türkiye on February 6.

The President expressed gratitude on behalf of the Turkish people for the financial and moral assistance provided by the Gulf nations during that challenging time.

With bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and the Gulf countries soaring to approximately $22 billion over the past two decades, Erdoğan stressed the significance of forging stronger ties with regional partners. He viewed this as a crucial step towards achieving lasting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

Notably, the President acknowledged the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with both Qatar and the UAE, while also highlighting the long-standing bonds with Saudi Arabia, which date back to 1929. The aim is to expand cooperation across various sectors, building upon the solid foundations already in place.

During the press conference, Erdoğan outlined joint investment and trade activities as the primary focus of his upcoming visits. The objective is to foster mutually beneficial partnerships using a win-win approach. The President further underscored the remarkable growth in bilateral trade volume, which has surged from $1.6 billion to approximately $22 billion over the past two decades.

As Erdoğan commences his regional visits, Türkiye aims to strengthen existing alliances, deepen economic cooperation, and pave the way for a prosperous future in the region. (ILKHA)
