Turkish security forces arrest 28 suspects at borders
The Turkish Ministry of Defense has announced the arrest of 28 suspects at the country's borders.
The suspects were illegally attempting to either enter Türkiye from neighboring countries or travel from Turkey to Greece.
The Border Eagles, a unit of the Turkish Armed Forces, successfully captured these individuals during their illegal crossing attempts, the Ministry said.
Of the total arrests, 22 individuals were intercepted while trying to illegally cross from Türkiye to Greece or Syria. Additionally, six individuals were apprehended while attempting to enter Türkiye from Greece.
Further investigation into the detained individuals has led to significant findings. The statement indicates that 16 of the apprehended individuals have been linked to the FETÖ organization, while three have been identified as members of the PKK/PYD/YPG.
