Turkish Foreign Minister meets with Indonesian Defense Minister in Jakarta
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Indonesian Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Jakarta.
The two ministers discussed a range of issues, including bilateral relations, regional security, and counterterrorism.
Fidan stressed the importance of close cooperation between Türkiye and Indonesia in the fight against terrorism.
He also expressed his appreciation for Indonesia's support for Türkiye's fight against the PKK organization.
Minister Subianto reciprocated the sentiment and said that Indonesia is committed to working with Türkiye to combat terrorism.
The two ministers also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Türkiye and Indonesia.
They agreed to continue regular high-level contacts and to work together on a range of issues of mutual interest.
