Erdoğan thanks international support in earthquake recovery efforts at Turkish-German conference
Jointly organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the conference aims to reinforce the business world in earthquake-affected regions.
In a video message to the Turkish-German Conference on the Role of the European Private Sector in Reinforcing the Business World in Earthquake-Affected Regions, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that the earthquake had caused a significant economic burden, estimated at 104 billion dollars.
However, he expressed hope that with the support of friends, Türkiye would collectively overcome this challenge.
Furthermore, President Erdogan expressed his satisfaction at the participation of companies from various European countries in the conference, emphasizing the high value placed on their presence. He specifically mentioned the video message of support from German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, conveying his gratitude for the Chancellor's encouragement.
Concluding his message, President Erdogan expressed his hopes for a fruitful conference and his anticipation of collaborating with all participants in the reconstruction efforts of the earthquake-affected regions.
